Someone once said “If you want to be loved, be lovable.”  In the culinary world this adage fits Jim Severson to a tee (since he loves golf).  “Sevy” as his friends call him (and I’ve never met anyone who knows him that isn’t his friend), may be the most engaging, friendly, helpful, charming, kind…..well, lovable chef there is.  There are reasons beyond great food and service why Sevy’s Grill is bustling with happy guests everyday 20 years after the restaurant opened near Preston Center.  We are delighted to welcome Sevy to “Wining and Dining with Jim White” on VOKALnow.com.  We get a health update from the popular chef and a look at what’s ahead for him.  Most of all we get a dose of his infectious good humor and positive outlook.  I’m also thrilled to have my dear friend and old compadre (from KRLD Restaurant Show days) Bud Kennedy in the house this month as our special “Guest Gourmet”.  Bud is the most trusted source for restaurant news in Tarrant County.  His Fort Worth Star-Telegram “Eats Beat” column is the definitive guide to the best dining choices west of the Trinity (and beyond).
